Auricular AcupunctureAuricular acupuncture originated in Europe in the 1950s and is based on the original practice of Chinese medicine. It is a complementary treatment that can be used in addition to general acupuncture or as a separate modality on its own. There are about 200 points on the ear that pertain to specific areas of the body and its organs. When a specific point is stimulated, it sends electrical impulses to the brain, which in turn targets the areas in the body being treated.

Auricular acupuncture can help with a variety of conditions, though it is used mostly for treating pain and detox. It also has great benefit in treating anxiety based disorders.

At Healing Acupoints, we use needles and ear seeds as a part of treatment program to help patients that need the long term benefits of ear acupuncture.
